HELP ON LINE OBLIGATIONS:

Help On Line undertakes to offer and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and security in the use of its secure Internet visioconsultation.

Help On Line undertakes every effort to provide the infrastructures for unbroken service for 24 hours seven days a week, including its own infrastructures. Help On Line cannot however guarantee an infallible public Internet network. Therefore, in the case of a breakdown in local Internet service, users should complete their session by telephone. Accordingly, the phone numbers of the counsellors are posted on the “Meeting Place” page of the site.

Help On Line undertakes also to provide users with a secret user name and password which will enable them to access their place on the site. As well, a session number known only to the psychologist and the client further ensures confidentiality.

The telecommunications link is secured at all times by SSL 128 Bit technology, which offers the best protection against hacking.

Help On Line is committed to providing a problem-free use of our site.

USERS OBLIGATIONS:

Psychologists commit themselves to the use of the site only in their capacity as such, and in observing the ethical standards of their Order, should not occasion reprimand or suspension by their Order for their performance on Help On Line.

Professional services must be provided by the psychologist designated and cannot be sub-contracted.

Psychologists are solely responsible if they commit an illegal act or for complaints against them in the exercise of their profession. Similarly the psychologists are solely responsible for the content of all interaction with their clients, and thereby release Help On Line of all responsibility.

Psychologists commit themselves to meeting all financial obligations to Help On Line by the due date; failing this, their access to the site will be terminated and legal proceedings initiated.

Psychologists are legally bound to observe the provisions of the user contract with Help On Line.

Help On Line, its administrators and employees are released from any responsibility for any use not conforming to the Code of Ethics of the Order of Quebec Psychologists and by the Office of the Professions. Furthermore, neither Help On Line nor its administrators or employees are in any way responsible for any lack of ethics on the part of associate members of the portal. Help On Line also reserves the right to carry out surveys from time to time among the psychologists and their clients in order to maintain the highest standards of service. Lastly, we invite our clients to give us feedback regularly about their level of satisfaction with the service, to info@aideenligne.ca.

Help On Line and our users will observe at all times the guidelines issued by the Order of Quebec Psychologists (publication Jan. 2007).

The performance of this service is subject to the laws of the province of Quebec in Canada.
